Carmen Fontana

Carmen Fontana attended Case Western Reserve University after growing up in the Columbus area. She graduated in 2000 with a degree in Systems and Control Engineering and then went on to Fortune 500 IT Consulting firm Accenture. Carmen returned to Case to complete her Master’s Degree in Engineering Management in 2005.

After graduating, she became a Project Manager of Alumni Affairs and Alumni Development Systems before moving to Perceptis, an IT Support startup. She served as the Client Services Manager and the Director of Communications. It was in this later role that Carmen developed her interest in Pay-Per-Click (PPC) and Social Media Marketing. At Perceptis, Carmen met Bonny and was quickly drafted to the WRIS team, beginning in April 2008.

Since joining the company as the Web Services Manager, Carmen has been effective in streamlining support and building the Search Engine Marketing (SEM) unit at WRIS. As a Google AdWords Certified Professional, she currently leads Search Engine Optimization, Pay-per-click and Social Media efforts and hopes for the continuing growth of WRIS’s Search Engine Marketing efforts. Carmen’s expertise in data driven decision making, client relations and process improvement makes her an invaluable asset to the team.

"When we were looking for new website developers, we interviewed four groups. But WRIS was the most impressive, and came with the best references. They've helped us turn our website into a living publication. Their client service sets them apart. They answer questions quickly. If there's a glitch, I get an answer within an hour-they're right on it."- Lou DeVincentis, Communications Coordinator

What are your hobbies outside of work? What do you like to do during your time off?

I really like what I do, I enjoy programming and it takes up a good portion of my time off as well. I enjoy going for motorcycle rides in the summer and early fall. If I had more time (probably when I retire) I would like to get my pilots license – I’ve enjoyed the flying experience I’ve had thus far.
