Charlie Meyers

Charlie Meyers, the founder and President of WRIS, is a native of Cleveland and attended University School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. He then moved south to Denison University where he majored in Biology and had a strong focus in music.

In the summer preceding his senior year, Charlie had an internship at the Frantz Medical Group in Mentor, Ohio which offered him a full time position after his graduation from Denison in 1990. At Frantz, Charlie took on a management role, supervising a production line and quality control practices.

After six years with the company, Charlie had his first exposure to the Internet and Email and with a couple others started an “Internet team,” with the goals of creating a company website and setting up email accounts for company employees. Through this, Charlie learned how the internet worked which led to selling internet services and the creation of WRIS.

By 1998, business had taken off and WRIS moved out of Charlie’s log cabin and into an office space in Highland Heights, Ohio. Many new clients, office locations and employee additions later, coupled with a move to Cleveland proper, Charlie has now taken on a client relationship management role as well as managing a growing company in an ever-changing industry.  He hopes to continue learning about new technologies, trends in hosting and keeping energy behind all of the company’s new endeavors, including the recently opened Florida branch of WRIS.
