Fernando Lewels Arnaiz

Fernando Lewels Arnaiz, a Designer at WRIS, did not always plan to be a member of the design community. After spending three years with a business focus at a Community College in Reno, Fernando moved to Portland and worked the night shift at Kinko’s. His creativity from childhood was reignited when he began familiarizing himself with Photoshop and other design programs. In his spare time, he started making posters for friends and playing around with animation. He moved to Lake Tahoe and began cleaning the office of Smith and Jones, a design agency in the area. After learning about the company, Fernando presented his design work and was quickly hired as a designer.

While working at Smith and Jones, Fernando also built his design skills in Flash and Dreamweaver at the Art Institute in San Francisco. After a few years with the agency, Fernando and one of his friends started their own marketing company, OnTourBus. For the next six years he was the lead graphic designer working on large client accounts such as Lee Jeans, JanSport and Snapple.

One of the company’s various projects brought Fernando to Michigan, and later Cleveland, where he met Charlie and Bonny. Fernando began working with WRIS as a designer in September of 2008 and plans to continue the relationship while working on an animated movie to be released late in 2011. Fernando prides himself on knowing and understanding many aspects of the design world, as he feels this is important when leading a project.
