US Alumni Association
University School, a private boys' school in Northeast Ohio, wanted a new way to reach their widespread alumni. Like many other WRIS Web Services education clients, they saw Social Media’s potential as a cost-effective and efficient communication tool. WRIS consulted with US as they created and launched their very first Facebook and Twitter campaigns, giving advice on a wide range of topics including policies, marketing, and integration tools. Additionally, WRIS created custom landing pages for both the school and alumni Facebook sites.
In 2011 WRIS partnered with the University School Alumi Association and University School to form a Social Media Internship for eight students. Under the guidance of Jim Abbott, WRIS Director of Sales, the boys produce real time content for FaceBook and Twitter. This effort widened the scope of University School's social media content and presence and has been so successful that an additional seven interns have joined the team in 2012.
