PHP Developer


We're seeking an onsite PHP Developer for WRIS Web Services, a successful Internet web design and web development company. Program dynamic websites, web applications, Intranets, e-commerce, and mobile websites. Work closely with staff members on both existing and new projects. Individual has the ability to work with the graphic designer to develop and implement graphical elements, templates, and web pages. Work in a relaxed atmosphere where hard work is appreciated.

Job Requirements

  • Be a good communicator and a team player
  • Program, develop, and maintain website functionality as assigned and directed
  • Work alongside other developers respecting company programming practices
  • Provide creative insight, suggestions, and assistance to the entire team
  • Participate in system design, architecture decisions and code reviews
  • Write code in PHP
  • Write requirements specifications for website functionality
  • Mock up and discuss UI considerations as needed

Tech Skill Requirements

  • 5+ years working with PHP
  • OOP standards knowledge
  • Experience with a framework (Laravel 5, Symfony 1.x or 2.x, Zend, etc.)
  • 5+ years experience MySQL, SQL, or MS SQL
  • Experience in database design
  • Experience writing procedures and triggers
  • 5+ years JS experience
  • Experience with using various libraries (Bootstrap, Prototype, jQuery, etc.)
  • Experience coding browser compatible JS without the use of a library
  • 1+ years Experience working with API’s (AuthNet, Paypal, Salesforce, Mailgun)
  • 3+ years Experience with code management software, GIT preferred (SVN, CVS, etc.)
  • 3+ years HTML experience
  • Experience working in software with pre-built pages and ability to keep the coding and the look and feel consistent
  • 3+ years CSS experience
  • Experience working with web pages or software that requires a common look and feel using standard, accepted CSS
  • 3+ years working on a live SaaS product
  • Experience with email deliverability a plus
  • Experience with WordPress and building Custom Themes and Plugins is a huge plus
